Course Director Tom Morato invites you to the warm waters of the Philippines and to Diver’s Network PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDC) and Diving Internship and Career packages.

Tom is responsible for making sure you receive the best professional education during your PADI IDC, while having some fun. He is a great believer in continuing education, and continuously tries to expand his horizons and learn new techniques in different forms of diving to further his own skills and knowledge as well as the ability to convey these new experiences to our students, our Diver’s Network Staff is continuously updating their diving curriculum as well! In 2010 Tom wrote new outlines for PADI distinctive specialties, like the advanced and basic sidemount diver and instructor course and PADI Full Cave Diver, and presently finishing the Cave sidemount, Cave survey and Cave Stage outlines. What do you need to start?

Be certified as a PADI Assistant Instructor or Divemaster, or as an instructor with another recreational diver training organization

Be at least 18 years old

Be fit for Diving and submit a medical form signed by a physician. Download the form and have it sign before your IDC.

Have been a certified diver for at least six months and logged at least 60 open water dives with experience in night, deep and navigation prior to starting the IDC, and have logged at least 100 dives prior to entering the Instructor Examination (IE)

Submit proof of EFR training within 24 months. This should not be a problem, you will get a complementary EFR Instructor course upon registration of your IDC.

An 12 Day expanded IDC

Although PADI requires an IDC to have a minimum duration of 7 days, we have found some extra presentations and workshops highly beneficial to our candidate success. To accommodate these extra presentations we have found an 12-day program more suitable.

Extra workshops include:

Ascents and Descents, Buoyancy control, Buddy Breathing, Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent, Rescue exercises, students control and scenarios.

Planning, organizing, scheduling all the PADI Courses in different environments.

With a relaxed, low stress 10 day IDC you can focus and elaborate on specific topics, review certain parts of the program, give extra time or lectures to our candidates.

Instructor Exam (IE)

The PADI IE is conducted by PADI Examiners. You will repeat many of the things that you have learnt during the IDC, including academic, confined water and open water teaching presentations. Upon successful completion you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Most Course Directors and IDC Centers do not accompany their candidates during the Instructor Examination.

Although we know that your preparation is completed and our job over at the end of the IDC, we also take care of all the logistics during your IE and Tom your Course Director will accompany you through out the IE program.

This guarantees that you can concentrate 100% on your IE without wasting time worrying about paperwork, payments, transport, equipment and the like.

PADI FEES

There are certain fees that need to be paid directly to PADI for the Instructor Development Course, Emergency First Response Instructor Course and Instructor Exam. As exchange rates are constantly changing we have decided it is better for you, if we do not include these fees in any of our packages. We will provide you with all the necessary paperwork and assist you to make your payments to PADI. As we are based within PADI Asia Pacific all PADI fees are based in Australian Dollars.

Note: To enroll on an IE and receive teaching status candidates must pay both IE Fee and IDC Application fee.

All payments are payable direct to PADI by credit card.

Diver's Network has a no refund policy, with this we will not accept another coourses for the agreed period reserve with us, meaning we will assign an Instructor / CD for you for the specific time of your course, our instructor will not handle another course. All our courses are 1 year valid, so you can continue / resume your IDC on next schedule course.

We will require 50% deposit to allocate that specific timeframe for you.

The PADI Assistant Instructor program is the first part of the Instructor Development Course (IDC). It can either be taken as a stand-alone program or immediately before the Open Water Scuba Instructor program. Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) Prep Program

This program will qualify you to teach 5 PADI Specialty courses from the Specialty Instructor Programs. Once you have certified 25 divers, you will be able to apply to PADI for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating. By taking 5 Specialty courses at once, you will save money compared to paying for each course individually.

Management programs

Dive Resort Management
During this program At Diver's Network Philippines, Philippines, you will deal with real life situations in our 5 Star Instructor Development Center in Subic Bay, Manila, and Anilao Beach. Practical Diving experience will be gained aboard our daily excursion boat to the various dive sites around the Subic and Anilao.
Duration: 10 days.

Business of Diving

Working in the Diving industry, like in The Philippines, is not just a matter of being a good instructor. To be successful, you will also need good business skills beyond those taught during the IDC. Don't rely on just luck to run a Diving business. Instead, use the skills you will learn on this 2-day program to ensure that you maximize your profits.
Duration: 2 days.

Sales Training

The Sales Training course in The Philippines is going to show the different aspects of being successful in the dive industry. This one day program will teach you how to develop excellent sales skills.

Work Experience program

The Work Experience program we propose At Diver's Network Philippines, Manila, Subic and Anilao, in The Philippines is unique. At the end of your IE, you will team teach with our Senior Instructors, many of them have years of experience behind them. You will team teach Diving courses from beginner to Divemaster levels.

The Work Experience program in The Philippines is a natural extension of your IDC towards the Master Scuba Diver Trainer. With this program you will certify 25 students, one of the pre-requites to gain the MSDT rating. The advantage of having this experience when you are applying for a job is enormous.
